Pregnancy Symptoms

Whether you and your spouse are trying to get pregnant or if you are simply "feeling pregnant," various symptoms sometimes occur to let you know that it is time to purchase a pregnancy test and schedule a doctors appointment. Although you may experience some of the common symptoms that indicate that you are possibly expecting, not all are a valid sign that you are actually pregnant.
Physical symptoms
Some of the first symptoms that occur that indicate a pregancy include a missed menstrual cycle, breast tenderness and implantation bleeding, all of which may not always occur during a pregnancy. Implantation bleeding generally occurs 6-12 full days after conception and appears as light spotting (pink or brown) that mocks a light period. When you are pregnant, the breasts often swell and are tender within the first trimester of pregnancy.
Emotional changes and symptoms
When you are first pregnant, an overwhelming feeling of tiredness and fatigue often hits you, leaving you feeling completely drained of energy. Your moods often feel haywire as your body deals with the new changes and hormonal differences with making room for a new baby during your pregnancy. Additional changes come in the form of odd and strange food cravings that you previously did not enjoy or ever eat beforehand.
When you are experiencing symptoms that you believe are signs that you are pregnant, it is important to confirm whether or not you are in fact carrying, as you require prenatal vitamins and proper medical care to ensure your baby's health.
